Project Description

We are a media company seeking to have our website professionally designed.

This website will feature news, current affairs, opinion pieces and more.

The website will need to be structured thus:

- a content management solution (CMS) which gives us complete control
over adding, editing and updating the content
- a flexible design interface so we can give the site its own look and
feel to suit our content and personality
- payment processing to enable us to take payments for
advertising
- a member database so we can capture our customers’ details
-the ability to add new functionality as we need it. This could
include commenting, a forum, polls and surveys, or email newsletter

In terms of design, it needs to be clean and concise. It needs to have:

- Room for banners and advertising
- Room for a news feed
- Room for twitter feed
- No pop ups

We want this to be done by May 1st. We need a talented designer who can commit to ABSOLUTE confidentiality (they will need to sign a non disclosure agreement) and who can design a website that is highly attractive, sophisticated yet concise, and customisable by us. So, it will need to have a logical and user-friendly backend.

You will need to be conversant in:
Java
PHP
High traffic websites (optimising knowledge, bottlenecks, serving content)
Enterprise frameworks
Hibernate

Please only send bids along with examples of websites you have successfully completed. We strongly prefer website designers who have designed a media site before. Media industry experience strongly preferred. High traffic website exposure will be looked on very favourably.

We look forward to hearing from you.
