I am trying to create a simple yet cool personal website. I like Lots of white background, but i am open to suggestions.
I would like to have the following pages:
a) Home -> In the home page I would like the top part to be the same as the facebook cover photo. Basically I want to update new photos there as many times as I want. Below that would be the four tabs I list here. Below the tabs there will be the different things I post ( articles, videos, etc). Also on the right of the home page I want to show the different social media tools people can connect to me by (facebook, twitter, linkedin, instagram etc.). Also below that I would like to have shown a list of the books I have read most recently. Under that I would like a live stock trading ticker where it would show the stock quotes for publicly trading companies that I add there. This right corner needs to be static so that it is seen in all pages the same.
b) About Me -> In this section I will have short description of myself. On the top of the page I would like to have the same thing I mentioned above, which is a cover photo. Underneath it will be my bio. Aslo, as I mentioned the right side will be static showing all the stuff I mentioned above.
c) Resume -> This is the difficult part of my request. On this page I want to have a cover photo on top of the page. Below that there will be my work history shown in a timeline fashion just like the facebook timeline. Obviously it doenst need to look the same. The tricky part is this: In this timeline I want to show the two different types of jobs that I have done throughout the years. Jobs that are unrelated to my career, and jobs that are related to my career. When someone goes to this page they should see two clickable buttons
1. Professional Jobs
2. Other jobs
When they land in this page they should see my timeline with just my current job, and nothing else. When they click other jobs, they should see all the jobs unrelated to my career. When they click professional jobs they should be able to see only my latest job, and in order to see all the other professional jobs they would have to submit an email address. It is important that besides the job title there is room for a small description about the job.
Last thing on this page is going to be a button where someone can request an original copy of the resume PDF file, via email. The button should be called “Request Professional Resume” and they would have to enter their email address, so that I can email it to them later.
d) Contact me -> This would just be a regular contact form.
