Project Description

Thank you in advance for considering our project! NOTE: There are a few requests sprinkled throughout the documents. In order to be considered for the project, you must comply with requests.

We are looking for a talented designer to help us reinvent currency, payments and barter. This is a DESIGN-ONLY project. We will only consider professional designers. If you are a web developer with amateur design skills, please do not apply. Ideally, you are a multi-disciplinary designer with strong graphic, website design, UI and branding experience.

We are looking for a professionally designed corporate website. The site should give our company a sophisticated feel, like any Fortune 1000 company or newly minted Silicon Valley startup. The site will be mostly informational--no e-commerce or database connectivity. The goal of the website is to captivate and intrigue visitors, and help us to build credibility and trust.

The site is approximately 30 pages, however, all pages share the same theme as homepage (header, menu bar and footer). Other than the homepage, approximately 6 pages will have some heavier design needs in the main body. The remaining pages will just require basic layout and typesetting. The site will be turned into a custom CRM theme by the eventual developer.

Here is what we have so far: the website is completely wireframed. All of the copy for the site has been written. We have a professionally designed logo. We even have an actual homepage mockup by a previous designer that is 75-85% complete. It just needs a little bit of love to look great.

************Our budget is is a max of $2000 inclusive of Freelancer fees. If there are any unusual specifics about the way you bill/work, please be sure to tell us in advance as we don't want any surprises.****************

I have attached our homepage wireframe (confidential items are greyed out), which is really our current design mockup of the home page. If you have any questions, please ask.

Important: In order to be considered for this project, you must include the code word “BARTER” at the top of your proposal. We need to make sure contractors are actually reading our job description and not just submitting thoughtless generic proposals.

Here are some websites that we like. They should give you a general idea of the overall look and feel we are going for. There are certain elements/things that we like about each site, but we don’t necessarily like every part of every site. They are in no particular order.

Who We Are Looking For:

You must have strong graphic design skills above and beyond basic web page layout. You will not be asked to develop complex graphics from scratch but you must be adept at graphic design and competent to find stock graphics and make minor modifications or develop simple graphical elements from scratch.

If you're new to Freelancer, you must submit a resume and portfolio. If you don't tailor your proposal to our needs, you will not be considered.

All website links that you send must be your own work. If you only worked on a portion of a site, please tell us your exact involvement. (friendly reminder: you must include the word "Barter" at the top of your proposal or you won't be considered). If you send us a website link that is not part of your Freelancer portfolio, we must have the option to contact the site owner and verify your work if we request it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read through all of this.

Good Luck Bidding!
