Hello. Hope you are well. My name is Jay STARR and I am an author and entrepreneur based in the United States of America. My horizons are global and I am scouting for new exciting opportunities around the world. Currently, the focus of my activities are in the fields of residential real estate and in non-fiction writing.
Before bidding for this position please be advised that it is imperative you have achieved a mastery of the English language. Please understand that I will likely not respond to individuals bidding without a track record. My preference will be to find a person with verifiable references and above average reviews.
If you plan on copying and pasting a generic bid to this tender then it will likely be ignored. Furthermore, be advised that I am actively posting this same job offer on other comparable websites. Yes, I am long-winded but I revel in self-deprecation and I will always welcome polite constructive criticism.
My general attitude toward work is very laissez-faire provided the results yield fruit ready to be harvested. In general my own personal and political philosophy can be described as libertarian with shades of objectivism. In other words I am coming from the capitalist and free-market perspective. While you do not have to share my worldview it wouldn't hurt.
Now onto the actual job description itself:
1.) Communication is key. My preferred method of communication is via AOL Instant Messenger or AIM. The reason being is because I am comfortable with that program and written conversations can be saved as notes for future reference. E-mail, Skype and the Telephone are also highly acceptable forms of communication. Therefore, it's imperative you have access rapid and stable access to each.
2.) Ideally, in addition to having a good command of the English language you should know another language. For example, I am interested in a French, Spanish and or Portuguese language speaker. Since I may need to correspond with others in those languages at some point.
3.) You should have the ability to send/receive the following: emails, faxes, postal letters and telephone calls. (Both within the United States of America and internationally)
4.) It is possible I may wish for you to set up a separate mailing address, fax and telephone line that you can access to facilitate #3 above. Naturally, I will cover any and all fees associated. You may also be asked to aid in the formation of entities and the opening of accounts.
5.) If you have had experience ghost-writing blogs, ebooks and whitepapers that would be a tremendous help. I plan on having my virtual assistant - virtual secretary aid in the creation of written materials.
6.) If you have experience with self-publishing through the likes of Amazon, Createspace, Kindle and Lulu please inform on that subject.
7.) If you have experience in website design, website development, graphic arts, building web traffic, SEO, wordpress, social networking development through the major providers, buddypress, elgg, and ning then please advise.
8.) It is very important you are able to work with spreadsheets, that you are ale to do data entry, that you can follow directions and do research. A site I will likely have you use often will be Zabasearch among others.
9.) A legal and or real estate background is preferred if possible.
The more of the above that you are able to do yourself the better. I am trying to avoid having to hire out for several little jobs. I like the idea of a one-stop shop. Your assignments will vary as my needs change.
Lastly, be advised that all work, notes and byproducts shall remain confidential. In bidding you agree to these terms. You further agree to relinquish any claims to any work created.
