Project Description

I have a large project that I'm working on.

The purpose of the project is to create a site similar in function (but not form) to [url removed, login to view]

I'm doing the backend myself, but I need someone to pick up the UI portion.

All I need are the graphical design elements, that is the HTML, CSS & JavaScript elements.

HTML5, CSS & JavaScript ONLY. No flash.

You will be making 2 pages with a consistent theme.

These will be user and admin.

You do not need to do ANY content on the site. Just the layout, which is an HTML template.

I'm using a custom template language based on Lift syntax, the CMS is one that I've personally written specifically for this project

Both pages must have the following divs

Header, TopMenu,SideNav, Content, Footer (divs are for CSS styling and layout, exact naming is up to you)

Within the divs will be content tags that are searched for by the template engine during page generation.

These are declared as follows{module:method:param1,param2...}

It looks similar to {core:header:datetime}, {core:nav:user},{core nav:admin} {core:content}, {admin:content} {admin:config:setperms:}.

Content tags are replaced by the template engine during template generation

Your page must be original content. DO NOT rip off someone else's design and pass it off as your own. I am eventually looking for a web development partner and I refuse to work with someone who would steal someone elses work and try to pass it off as their own.

Your design will be validated for originality by a third party, if it's found to be infringing I will report you and leave negative feedback, I'm very serious about this.

Additional rules.

Your layout must be valid CSS based with no tables.

The CSS must validate at [url removed, login to view]

Your template must be HTML5 and validate cleanly as HTML5 at [url removed, login to view]

The target market for this is Hong Kong.

Therefore people fluent in Chinese particularly the dialect spoken in Hong Kong (I am not, but my client is), will have preference.

If I don't get any bidders from Hong Kong, preference will be given to people in the EU or the Western Hemisphere.

If you are not from either Hong Kong , the EU or the Western Hemisphere please don't waste your time or mine by bidding.

Place your entire bid in the bid box. If you send me a PM I will disqualify you from consideration. I really don't have the time to deal a bunch of messages and it's been my experience that that the best bidders are the ones who will read my post, understand it and be willing to follow my instructions.

I require that as part of your bid you actually do the work and link to the finished product (with custom tags) in your bid.

I will not take use it without paying, but there are enough people on here who don't do the work after winning a bid, and my time frame is tight enough that this has to be a bid requirement this time round, sorry.

If your bid is selected, this will lead directly to regular and steady work. You will also be given the chance to be the long term. Therefore I'm looking for a willing and eager team member to compliment my existing skillset and help fill in the gaps. It will be long term and lead to more money as time goes on. So you can think of this as a sort of preemployment interview.

Now something to remember. This project is for a non-profit charitable organization that's sole purpose is to locate missing kids. Your work matters, a lot, and some child will one day be reunited with their family as a direct result of your work. The things you do here mean that a parent will get to see their missing little one.

This also means the project isn't going to be awarded to the lowest bidder. it will be awarded to the best bidder. Quality, track record of delivery and honesty are more important than cost.

Thanks for reading this and happy bidding!
