Development of a custom eCommerce website.
While we work on Stage Two, as a temporary placing I need a simple site that can record numerous inputs from a customer and save them into a database.
The user experience will be modeled off of [url removed, login to view] Take note of the fluid movement of the titles, various text boxes and embedded media. Rather than each city/country as in the model, I will be replacing that with each product for sale. As a sample of a product page please look at the attached file. There will be 10-15 different product pages all based on the same/similar template.
On Product Page #1 the central feature will be the fabric selection box [an easy way to visualize this is to replace the embedded videos in the example with these dynamic fabric selection boxes]. What fabrics appear within the box will be based on querying a large database based on which options the customer selects (drop down boxes above and to the left). The customer will be able to scroll left and right within the box to see all the possible options within their query. The scrolling user experience will be similar to that on the home page of a Mac; based on the placement of the cursor the particular fabric will "pop out" slightly. On the right-hand side some of the product pages will have a scrolling "most popular" or "recently ordered" to give the customer additional guidance. This will be based on records of previous orders and habits of customers.
On Product Page #2 the customer will customize the particular product. The framework for this will be the same irregardless of the product; it will just be the customization options that will differ. The back-end of the website will be similar to www.indochino.com. Please have a look at their website.
On Product Page #3 - a tutorial for each customer to log in their measurements. This will need to be saved for when the customer logs in at further times.
At a later date I will be hiring for a mobile app. Please detail your experience in this as well.
Please feel free to message me with any questions/clarifications.
