Project Description

We plan to provide a web based image editing service for businesses such as photographic studios and online stores. This service is known as image clipping and it involves the removal of backgrounds from product photographs so that they are ready for use in advertising material or online stores for example. The photos are supplied by the customer, we do the editing work and deliver the edited photographs back to the customer.

We need a developer who can help us create a website where customers upload their images and are given a total cost for the job (calculated automatically based on the number of images they upload). The customer pays via the website to confirm the order. We propose that we use the Magento ecommerce platform as a foundation for this project since Magento has many of the features we require (checkout, payment processing, back end order management) and it's a platform we are familiar with.

Uploaded images need to be saved to a cloud hosting service for access by our staff.

This is a very brief overview. We've included more information including core requirements and proposed customer experience in the PDF file attached to this project. We can't cover everything in a PDF however and we would strongly encourage you to come back to us if you need clarification regarding anything discussed before naming your price.

Regarding budget, we're open minded. We want to work with a talented developer — not necessarily the cheapest developer. This is the first stage of development and assuming we're happy with your work then we would want to retain you for the ongoing development of our service.

Thank you!
