Project Description

I need a very simple multi-platform mobile application that shows the EDGAR filing dates for 2014. Attached is a PDF of the 2012 calendar.

The calendar shows filing dates for 3 company classifications: Large Accelerated, Accelerated, and Non-Accelerated. In addition, the SEC holidays are shown. The deadline guidance section should be available with the application as well.

Ideally, the user will be able to (optionally) indicate the type of company they have so that the dates specific to their company designation are highlighted (as opposed to all three company types). For example, if your company follows the Accelerated timetable, then you see just those dates.

I will need a little design work for the application. I am thinking that you would see one month at a time, and be able to swipe (or touch arrows) to move from month to month. The first month shown when you start the application will be the current month. However, I am willing to consider other alternatives as well.

I would like push notification functionality so that users can be reminded when a filing deadline is approaching. They could be seven days before the deadline, and one day before the deadline.

I would also like the ability to import the deadline dates into your personal phone calendar. Can this be done?

The calendar should look good on all screen sizes, from mobile phones, to tablets, to pc browsers.

I would like to support iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini), Android (phones, tablets, Kindle Fire), and possibly Windows Mobile. In addition, there should be a web-based version so that people on PCs or laptops can view the calendar though their browser. The browser version should include a year view that is printable.

I will need a little handholding getting the apps up on their respective stores (Apple’s App Store, Google’s Play Store, Amazon’s App Store, Microsoft’s App Store). If you could let me know what the various costs will be to get developer accounts, I would appreciate that for help in determining the budget. For example, I know Apple charges $99.

The application is branded for my client, and their company logo and information should be visible on the main screens of the application. I will provide logos and contact information, though they can be seen in the attached 2012 PDF version of the calendar.

Since the calendar is for the 2014 filing year, the project needs to be completed by November so that there is time to get the app out to our clients before the January 2014 deadlines.
