Project Description

I am in need of someone who can convert the standard Spree Commerce templates/code from a complete ecommerce solution into a search engine that pretends to be a commerce site.

The business model is similar to that of Zoopla (the online property search engine) in that it will bring together products from 100's of sites for easy consumption on our one catalogue site; where the user has the choice to then get in contact with the supplier (via contact details on the page) or click thru to the product on the suppliers own site.

No payment will be taken on our site, thus no need for the shopping cart.

Bulk import of products required (csv or whatever); initially this can be admin only but in time would like for the individual shops to push their feeds to us

A good search function also needed.

Site to be fairly heavy with ads

As I say, Zoopla is very similar for a different market please refer to that for greater detail (no map search or anything like that required however)

From what I have seen on GitHub et al; their is a wealth of Spree code and add ons which should make the task fairly straightforward; however I am not a developer and thus am not confident I could do it...or do it well at least!

The toss up is whether to convert Spree or maybe go with Wordpress...if you have previous with any of the aforementioned and think one maybe be better suited than the other, let your thoughts be known.

Please quote for the entire build on any of the big website platforms.
