Project Description

We are a small, startup company, looking to build a personal website through which we can sell a variety of customizable merchandise (phone cases, art prints, decals, etc.). At the moment, we are focusing on a smaller number of products; the idea is for the company to grow and for the merchandise selection to expand. In the beginning we are just looking for a simple website, something that is user friendly both for the customer and for us behind the scenes. We have a basic template of what we would like the homepage and the rest of the site to look like and how we would like it to operate from the client stand point. However, we don’t have much of an idea of what we would need on our end. One thing that definitely needs to be incorporated is the use of Adobe Illustrator through which we manage and print all of our images. From what I’ve gathered so far, it is possible to link Illustrator with the incoming order system on the website. Ideally, we would like to be able to click on a particular order and for the corresponding image of that order to pop up in Illustrator. That is one of our biggest requirements; basically we need something that will streamline the process of incoming orders, image and product management and printing. If any of you have further input or ideas on how to achieve these goals and make the whole process as simple and easy as possible, please let us know.
