Functionality and specifications
Our website will be designed to work with modern web browsers (Chrome, Safari, IE 8+, Firefox, Opera), will adhere to standard practices and incorporate modern technologies.
The website will incorporate a fully featured eCommerce system and content management system (Magento). All pages and content within the website will be updateable by us as necessary through the integrated system.
The website will integrate with Australia Post shipping software.
Product pages will include dynamic image galleries, product information and technical data, product recommendations & cross-selling, product reviews, price match, and size guide & product care information.
Checkout & Payment-
The website will include a checkout facility with credit card transactions, integrating directly with Meathead’s online payment gateway (TBC). The option to checkout with Paypal will also be integrated.
The website will include sophisticated and intuitive search features, including category search and suggested results.
Customer Membership and email database The website will include customer membership, encouraging customers to sign up to a membership database which will allow for easy checkout and discounts (though customers will be able to checkout as a guest as well). Email databases will be managed through existing software (Mailchimp), and customer service emails (order follow up, account information, shipping notifications etc) will be managed through the integrated system.
Coupon codes will be included for product promotions and sales.
Customer wish lists-
Registered users will be able to save wish lists of items that they want to purchase in future.
Search Engine Optimisation-
The website will be developed specifically search engines in mind, encouraging good search engine ranking. Meta information will be able to be added for all products, image and categories, and the website will include a search engine friendly URL structure, with the option of manually updating URL structures for individual pages.
Advertising and marketing banners/promotions-
Areas of the website will be designated for advertising, banners and marketing material which will be managed through the website and provide statistics on click through rates and page views.
Statistics & Reporting-
Web statistics will be included with the website in the form of Google Analytics. The website will include in-depth reporting for usage of the website including sales, abandoned shopping cards, viewed products, coupons, invoices, refunds and customer performance.
Backorders & Preorders-
The website will manage products which are backordered or preordered and provide ongoing updates to the customers on a regular basis.
The website will integrate several features of social media: All products and posts will allow users to ‘like’, ‘tweet’ or ‘recommend’, and after purchase customers will be able to share and post their purchases straight to their Facebook wall.
