This control must enable an iPad user (using mobile Safari) to swipe left/right to scroll through a long list of thumbnail images. Unlike some of the existing image carousel controls I've seen, this control must show a few smaller images before and after the larger main or selected thumbnail image in the middle. I've seen this technique referred to as fisheye and is similar to [url removed, login to view] Unlike this example, the iPad has no mouseover event, so the middle image must default to be larger than the rest.
The control also must enable the user to swipe slowly over the images to move slowly to the next image, or swipe quickly to scroll through the list then have it slow down to come to rest on an image. Again a similar approach at [url removed, login to view] but this only presents a single image, and doesn't enable you to quickly swipe or scroll through many images.
I would prefer to use what has already been done, or custom code only if required.
