Looking for a MySQL database design expert who preferably knows his way around Drupal 7. I need help designing the database for a certain content type. The idea revolves around sports statistics and then we run our calculations off of these. There are currently about 85 different statistics that we take during the game and these are are 3 types of situations these can happen during. We currently do individual reports in excel and they look like the following. The first section is some information on the player and then below it is a table for all of the statistics from that game. Player (this would change to a unique uid primary key field in drupal/mysql) Game Date Text field 1 Integer field 1 Text field 2 Text field 3 Text field 4 Text field 5 Text field 6 Text field 7 Stat 1 Stat 2 Stat 3 Stat 4 Stat 5 Stat 6 --> Stat 85 Even Strength 5 19 16 89 0 4 3:51 Power Play Short Handed I feel like having a huge content type with 255+ fields ( field_es_stat1, field_pp_stat1 field_sh_stat1, field_es_stat2...) is the wrong way to do this. I have included an excel file as an example of the way it is currently laid out. Need help designing a D7 content type around this structure that follows best database design practices.
