Project Description

Rautella,

Thanks for your work on my other projects. Tell me what you think of this project and what you can price it. I'm trying to find ways to streamline the processes of the website but my main objective is keep the budget down. I'll list out my thoughts on how to structure the site and its functionality but I'd appreciate any ways or technology that would suggest.

What's already in place:

The site is a WordPress site already in place: lgrcs.lifesgoldenrule.com. The template used is Inspired Theme from Themeforest. It's build with a web friendly and tablet friendly functionality.

We are also using a quiz plugin called WP-Pro-Quiz.

Objective:

In the end what we'd want is to have our customers access an iPhone app that basically links them to the data/posts on our website. When they open the app, they are asked to login. That login is important because it will only give them access to their company's page (we'll have multiple company's using this website/tool). When they login, they will only see one post (title, 300-500 words, maybe an image & a quiz). This post is only accessible that day.

When they login and read the post, they will take a quiz. This will be a short 3-5 multi-choice quiz. As they take the quiz, if they get a question wrong they will see that its wrong and take another chance to get it right before going to the next question. Once the quiz is complete, the backend will enter their name into a database. Each time they finish a quiz they are entered the database. At the end of 30 days, we'll randomly draw from the database a name and give them a prize.

My Thoughts On Structure:

Like I said, I'm open to your expertise on how to build this but here are my thoughts on how we can build this using free tool and keep the cost low.

Pages: Each page of the site will be built for each company participating in the app. For example, Subway decides to use our system, so I'd make a page called "Subway". That page would be setup to display all posts categorized "Subway".

Posts: I would create a series of 30 posts and categorize them "Subway" These posts would be schedule to post at 8am each day and delete at 11:50 PM. We're using a plugin called "Scheduled Post Delete." If you have a better way to make them invisible or non-viewable after that day, I'm open.

Quiz: Each post would have a quiz embedded using WP-Pro-Quiz. The final section of the quiz will use a Ninja Form asking for their name. I'll export the Ninja form data and use a randomizer to pull the winner. Its a simple way to do this but again, we're looking to cut costs.

iPhone app: We've tried Mobiloud's solution which make a WordPress website into a iPhone app. We'd like something like that but more simple. We only need to show one post and quiz. We do need the functionality to notify the iPhone user that there's a new post/quiz each day and remind them to take the quiz before the day is done.

Can you do iPhone apps?

Let me know what questions you have. Maybe we can discuss this tonight.
