We've created a unique word puzzle game which, from a technical perspective, is similar to a 'word search' game, in which you highlight different letters and find words hidden in the field of letters. In our case, the field is comprised not of 'letters' but of a set of 'words', some of which repeat. The player must 'highlight' the words which repeat, and tally the "like" words up. If the player tallies the right set of words that repeat the number of times required by the solution, they'll solve the puzzle. NDA signed for further explanation.
So in essence the game involves: 1. A fields of words 2. The ability to highlight different words in different colors. "Like" words should be highlighted in the same color as other like words. "Like words" = the same words, which repeat in the word field. 3. A floating word list should be accessible so the player can manually 'tally' the number of 'like' words they've found, as they progress. 4. Seamless integration with OpenFeint or Apple's new Game Center, so we can initially offer competitive leaderboards and integration into Facebook/Twitter etc. 5. A freemium approach, which allows for some 'free' puzzles to be offered on a limited time-defined basis, with payment required to gain unfettered access to our full puzzle pack of 50 puzzles. 6. The basic navigation and feature set of the app (menu system, competitive play, toggling on/off of basic features, tutorials etc.) will be analogous in scope to the typical word search or cross word puzzle application you currently find on the iphone. We have a 'prototype' already built on the iphone; it was constructed using basic functionality, without aid of a custom gaming environment. We would in fact like a 'custom' gaming environment developed to accommodate this game. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the basic functionality described in a sample app or have portfolio work that demonstrates that they possess the requisite skills.
