Write simple Matlab demo program to analyze historical stock market data

I want someone with experience in Matlab programming to download historical stock data for me and set up a demo Matlab program which scans the NASDAQ historical stock prices and identifies stocks that satisfy certain test criteria. [I can program in Matlab myself--at least, to a modest level--and I want to play around using Matlab code to do stock market research--looking at historical data from NASDAQ exchange.) But I do not have time needed to try to do this myself. If a coder can get the data formatted appropriately and give me a sample program that does what I am asking for here (see more detailed spec below), I should be able to modify it to do what I really want done. To bid on this, you should be a good Matlab programmer. Familiarity with financial datasets would be helpful but is probably not necessary.] ## Deliverables Program should do the following: 1. Download NASDAQ history (optimally, past 5 years). If possible use free datasets like [login to view URL] but if we need to buy data let me know (as long as it is reasonable that's OK). Get daily stock price and dividend payments. Also, if possible, get dates of earnings reports. 2. Create a matlab program that scans all stocks from NASDAQ and kicks up every stock which satisfies these criteria: -- Paid a dividend last year. -- Current stock price is greater than the average of each of the calendar years 2008, 2009, and 2010 AND -- Had an earnings report within the past 2 months. 3. The output should be a list of the ticker symbols of the stocks that satisfy criteria listed in 2. 4. Please produce well structured and commented code, and don't use the most fancy Matlab features. You are writing code to be easily modifiable by an intermediate level Matlab programmer (namely, me). 5.
