I recently leased a dedicated server from GoDaddy, config below.
Windows Server 2003 - Standard Edition
Intel Pentium 4 - 3.0 GHz
2 GB RAM
120 GB RAID 1
Cisco Pix 501 External Hardware Firewall
Plesk Control Panel
I'm a programmer, not an IT guy. I need someone who knows how to configure the DNS service and make sure Plesk is properly integrated with it. Also that both are configured properly with respect to the external firewall, so that when I add a domain in Plesk, then point my my registrar to my (DNS) server, it all works.
Also need SMTP, POP, and WebMail configured as needed. It seems to have a product called "MailEnable Standard Edition" installed. Website describing it here: [url removed, login to view] I do not know if it is properly configured to work seamlessly with Plesk (or work at all, for that matter).
Also, a quick check of whether the server is properly secured (it probably is, given 2003's paranoid defaults plus hardware firewall).
This should be a pretty straight-forward task for someone who knows what they are doing -- basically clicking through a few wizards. The key is knowing what choices to select in those wizards. Please only bid on this if you do this stuff for a living (MCSE types preferred) -- if I wanted someone guessing, I could do that myself :)
