I require a UK based hardware designer/Company to develop a vehicle locator module design for prototype.
The winning bidder will deliver schematics, BOM, GERBER Files, Drill files etc in a format that can be viewed with eagle pcb or another free cad software.
The product has to be adhere to the design rules at pcbtrain ([url removed, login to view]).
No software is required.
The design is based around the Telit GE864-GPS.
It must accept an input voltage of 6-30volts - Reverse polarity protection and transient supression for noisy vehicle environment required. An internal fuse must be of the ressetable type.(like bournes PTC).
It must have a usb mini-b connected to the asc0(ge864) serial port via a FTDI FD232RL or similar.
All IC's (if used) must be Microchip and a standard 0.1" 6pin ICSP header foreach is required for programming.
Molex connectors required for external power supply and gpio
PCB mounted reset button(tactile).
connector, switch and leds must be mounted on the same edge.
Rechargable battery backup that will last at least 1 month when external power removed.
all gpios must be connected to the ge864 so they can be read by software.
PCB mounted GSM and GPS antenna's.
sim card holder must be lockable not push in - push out
red network status led (seperate gpio is provided)
All gpio must be protected like the primary power supply
GPIO required:
ignition input 6-30V to gpio on ge864
movement detected by accelerometer
output to control pcb relay(capable of switching 30A @ 12v)
blue led

Unit must pass electronic test and independent inspection.
On completion all designs will be signed over to me.
