Link adaptation in mobile WiMAX


our work follows the downward cross-layer design approach in the receiver side, which aims to take the system variations at MAC/Physical layers into account, as the received frame is measured based on adapted the channel condition and path loss through the mobility distance at the physical layer while take into account the adapted FER at the MAC layer. At the end of this measured process, the optimal decision of selecting appropriate modulation for next frame is done and sends as feedback to the sender. This decision is done by adopting Markov Decision Process (MDP) over cross-layer design approach.
