The following customizations are features of the Checkout shopping cart Plugin by Tribulant Software, that we want to incorporate (with some modifocations) into WP e-commerce. We have a live site using Checkout that you can view to understand exactly what we want, on both the public interface and the control panel: That website is [url removed, login to view]

We want the these features created much like Checkout has them in the control panel interface, with just a few exceptions noted below.

In the control panel, Checkout is a plugin and you will have full access to see the Checkout code and use that code if you wish.

PRODUCT PAGE TABBED INTERFACE (in PUBLIC VIEW): "Product Content Tabs" = "additional descriptions tabs"

example: [url removed, login to view]

Additional descriptions are like articles in joomla: They are a small part of a page; a section of the desciption of a product. And we want these to appear in a row of "Product content tabs:" A row of tabbed sub-pages which are "additional descriptions" as sub-sections of the full description area: The tabs organize sections of product descriptions (descriptive content items which are like sub-pages of content items: Tabbed sub-pages). The name of the Product Content item shows on the tab itself (but should not appear a second time, as in the example).

On the control panel side, when editing a product's description, the user sees a button that says, "Additional Descriptions: Using additional descriptions makes use of the content tabs feature on product pages." And there is a form to add an additional description and give it a title; the title will appear on the tab on the public view. We want to be able to add zero to 5 additional descriptions tabs.

The individual "product content tabs" are fully customizable: Title and content of the tab is entered by the user.

In the area where the tabs appear, the furthest section on the left is visible by default when first viewing page (i.e., you do not have to click a tab to see it), as in the example page. In the example page, it has the title "Description" but we want this to say "Summary" not "description." We use this for a summary description of the product.

example: [url removed, login to view]

We want to have the ability to assign a single "additional description" article to multiple products (natively in Checkout, each can be applied to just one product, and we don't like that). This ability is not a feature of Checkout and so you will have to build this as a customization.

In Checkout: The Tab name shows a second time in the tab-contents: Don't need or want this.

See example page: [url removed, login to view]

The tab name shows a second time in the tab-contents: We don't want it to appear a second time; we want it to appear only one time: On the tab itself, not in the contents below the tab)

DOCUMENTATION: Deliverables include code that you produce and documentation of the code.
