Project Description

I’m seeking a flash developer who can develop an application that works on the most common mobile phones available in the market, i.e. he will use Flash Lite 1.0 or 2.0, and I prefer 1.0 so it can be viewable on more mobile phone models.

The application is a map locator by which we can locate our company kiosks on the map.

Firstly; a combo box will be displayed on stage to choose the state from, and after choosing the state, another combo box will appear to choose the district, and finally when choosing the district a third combo box will appear to choose the kiosk type, as we have three types of kiosks which will be indicated with 3 different icons. These 3 icons will be loaded dynamically in a folder beside the application, so that we can change them easily. After I choose the kiosk type, I may choose another one from the same combo box, which will make the application hide the icons of the previous type of kiosks and show the chosen ones.

There is a readymade interactive library for tile-based maps which we will work on named "modest maps" ([url removed, login to view]). It's available in 3 versions, and of course we will work on the AS2.0 version as we work on Flash Lite.

In brief; your job is to implement our application –the kiosk locator- on the "modest maps" which is the readymade interactive library for tile-based maps to get a final application which is mobile phone compatible.

I'll provide a sample of the data of the kiosks (names, location, etc...) in a predefined xml file which you must adhere to the hierarchy of data in it.

Make sure that any mobile user can download and install the application on his mobile through the easiest possible procedure, and that the data of the kiosks will be updated thru the internet either automatically or

or upon the user request.

Easily; you can download “modest maps” from their web site ([url removed, login to view]), and I will provide the xml file you’ll work on. Now these are your assets beside your work.

All your work must be well built, i.e. all file names are meaningful, all code is categorized in classes which contains significant methods and properties etc.

You must hand me all project files (.as, .fla, and any other formats), i.e. to hand me the open source application.

You must be a professional to bid, and shall show some of the best of your previous work.
