We would like to add a web server to our existing iPhone app that allows it to be used via the web... it's a media player application, so no fast graphics or anything like that required. Just want to convert some fairly static views of Media Browser lists, play/pause controls, and now playing info to XML. Updating text labels and navigating scrolling lists are about as complicated as this app gets. We'd also like the web server to be available via a domain name when used on a LAN if possible, rather than the IP address, or somehow to use Bomjour to advertise the web server so it can be easily found.
We can provide the graphics used in our IB files each in individual png files or assemble into an XML file if needed or any way you wish to handle it.
We're currently in the midst of upgrading to a Universal app, so the we'd like the iPad version to show up if they are on a device with a 640x480 or bigger screen and the iPod version to display if they are on a mobile device. Ideally what we'd like is a custom class or framework that works in conjunction with the XML file that allows for transmission of button press events, button states, arrays for lists and item selections from lists. A design that keeps expandability and scalability in mind will be important as we want to be able to use this for other apps.
We'll give out promo codes for the current version of the app to qualified applicants who we think may be a good fit for our company.
