I need some help with a project I am working on with a publisher. The job is to typeset a book in Adobe's InDesign desktop publishing software.
In point form, here is what I need.
1. I am given a DTD.
2. The book is supplied in XML format and must validate against the DTD at all times.
3. I need to be able to use the Adobe namespaces for paragraph and character styles. See page 20 of this document:

4. Using XSLT, I need to automate some of the formatting of the text as it is imported into InDesign. For example, I would require a XSLT stylesheet that looks at the element. If the element occurs first in a element, then it gets the attribute aid:pstyle="para-fo". In any other position within the element, it will need to get the attribute aid:pstyle="para"
