Amazon API Gateway CORS issue

Job Description:
I am having a hard time with CORS error from my localhost browser.
I followed some videos that showed me to create Resource and create method POST, and link Options to Lambda function, which I am trying to get at.
The one problem I noticed when I compared to the videos is that I never get this information on the request response in the inspect element network tab
This is the response from my Python Lambda function
"Access-Control-Allow-Origin": '*',
"Access-Control-Allow-Headers": 'Content-Type, X-Amz-Date,Authorization,X-Api-Key,X-Amz-Security-Token',
"Access-Control-Allow-Methods": 'POST, OPTIONS'
At this point I am not event sure I need the Resource. I just need the post method that links the integration with the lambda function.
