Job Description:
I have a code igniter / mysql database / dashboard that was made 10 years ago. that sends data to a iOS and Android app. see [login to view URL]
It's housed on an AWS ec2 server. running ubuntu 16 (I know - we'll sort that together soon too)
Sparing you the story I work on my own now, and Im not a developer, and I've got a couple of bugs to squash pretty urgently now, and Im clueless. Mainly with PDF creation over email not working, and also the system hangs on just one particular section. I can show you exactly where its going wrong, but then the rest is over to you :)
Once we've squashed these bugs we'll work together over the coming months (and hopefully years) to improve the dashboard, create new features, security patches, and updates as you see fit. Ive got a developer for the apps, so initially it's just the dashboard/ codeigniter work I need you for, but if you can develop apps too, let me know.
Also, If you are just interested in a few hours work to fix the bugs, but cant commit to long term. thats fine too.
Im easy to deal with, I always explain what I need with clear instructions and I create what we need the final product to be with photoshop screenshots. Im a people person, so Im easy going, enjoy a laugh as we go and I've got LOTS of work for you. so it should be a great job for the right person.
I'll need you to be available in UK working hours. In fact, I’d very much prefer someone from the UK/ Ireland as language barrier can become an issue.
Now the awkward bit… You need to have at least 2 years of SOLID working experience on code igniter. People say they have, and then get scared off as they actually only have basic code igniter skills because they are attracted to the post and are winging it.
Also, please don't apply if you have a full time job that this needs to fit around, it never works. Im becoming an old man now chaps, so working later into the night with freelancers after a long day is something I can no longer do! :D
If you understand code igniter properly this will be easily achievable for you. Its not complicated, and my coders I employed we generally good at marking things up.
