We're currently collecting data about apartments and setting up temperature sensors + valves manually. This means we're dealing with paper trail and getting a lot of errors.
We'd like to get an Android App with two main functions:
1. Collect the structure of the apartments (i.e. numbers/names of buildings, staircases, stairs and apartments)
2. Setting up some devices using NFC
The app will be used internally by a few people in the beginning and should be considered a prototype. If the idea works well, we'll want to make a better version to be used by about a hundred installers and additional functionality preferably with the same developers.
There's some kind of description in the attached file, but we come from the embedded world and App design is not one of our strenghts - so if there's something that can be made better or easier, your expertise is welcome.
The project involves some NFC interactions (reading and writing data to tags). Development can be done with almost any NFC tags, like public transport tickets, key cards or whatever.
To filter out bots and developers who don't know anything about NFCs: what type (manufacturer, type) of NFC sticker/tag you've got available ?
I prefer working with good individual developers or small teams who know their stuff and don't need much support - and I'll not be asking nitty gritty changes without additional budget if the main lines are working ok. I've coded in Java, but I've heard I need to learn Kotlin, so both are ok.
I can pay the project in 1-4 milestones, which we can agree in the beginning. I think there are some clear functional blocks that can be used as milestones.
