I would like to build an app for both android and apple.
The app would be called " Snow lift hours " or something like that.
The problem I am trying to solve is that I like many other purchase our ski lift tickets " by the hour ". this means that we might purchase a 10 hour pass which gives me use of a ski lift for 10 1 hour blocks.
What I mean by that is that If I pass a ski lift scanner at 9:48am I can ride until 10:48am on the ski lifts before another additional hour is charged on the card by the scanners. The problem is that unless you memorise your time through the gates you have no way of telling how much longer of the hour you purchased you have left before you will be billed for an additional hour.
The key is obviously to time your runs and coffee breaks so that you get as much use out of the hour you purchased as you can get.
I would like to build an app that displays the total number of hours purchased and then deducts on 1 hour as you begin to accelerate up in altitude at a constant rate ( or another method you can think off that will the app know you are on a ski lift ). It would also be a good to have a manual way of letting the app know you that you have just passed through a gate. Perhaps the app could have an " automatic mode " or manual mode etc.
The app would show a contain timer to indicate how long you you left on the 1 hour purchased as well as the time at that the 1 hour app will expire as well as how many hours you have left on your pass.
It would also be good to have the ability to add additional features such as advertising space and also perhaps have a phone notification that you have 15 minutes left. Other things like maximum speed reached and total distance covered would also be good.
