Job Description:
Deliverable 1. NFC reader POC
Aim of the project is to crate a proof-of-concept Android (Kotlin) application capable of reading from and writing to an NFC tag.
The information to be read/written is what we call “personal emergency information”.
Features of the POC:
- Data information UI screen: a screen where to enter the “personal emergency information”
- Data information database: a SQLite database to store the “personal emergency information”
- Data information selector screen: the user should be able to select the “personal emergency information” he wants to be written onto the NFC tag.
--The total memory size in bytes required by the selected information should be displayed, with an indication if it fits the most common NFC tags (NTAG213,NTAG215,NTAG216).
--Ideally, the NFC reader should at first scan the available Tag, so the capacity is known in advance.
- Data information writer: the selected information is written to an NFC tag
- Data information reader: the information stored on a NFC tag is displayed
Example of “personal emergency data”:
- Medical practitioner name
- Medical practitioner phone number
- Person of contact name
- Person of contact phone number
- Allergies
- Prescription drugs
- Blood type
- Known pre-existing conditions

Deliverable 2. NFC flutter plugin
The same POC as Deliverable 1 should be developed in Flutter, too. The requirements are the same.
Technical stack requested:
Flutter version 3 with iOS and Android platforms
General architecture:
- BLoC architecture (flutter_bloc)
Main requirement: The NFC write and read functionality is to be packaged in a Flutter Plugin using bespoke native (iOS/Kotlin) code (no use of already made plug-ins!)
