We need a consultant for help in solving issues with publishing an app on Google play that contains SMS and CALL_LOG permissions.
Our app has been rejected many times. Initially, we were targetting the Default Phone and SMS handler use cases but we didn't implement all the functionalities of a Default Phone and SMS handler. We only implemented the bare minimum such that we can ask runtime permissions to make the app the default call and SMS handler.
In the last attempt, we targeted an exception use case namely "Enterprise archive, enterprise CRM and/or enterprise device management". I targeted this use case because it requires nearly zero or minimal changes to the existing app and CRM is indeed the intended core functionality of our app. But they said that our app doesn't meet the requirements of this use case. No specifications were provided.
If we stick with the original use case of a default phone and SMS handler we have to first add a lot of functionality so Calls and SMS from the SIM can be sent and received from the app. Which is not our target or within the scope of our project.
We aren't sure that even if we add all the functionality to qualify the app as a default SMS and phone handler that google play will accept our app.
We need an expert who has previously dealt with such an issue and be able to guide us on how to proceed further.
Please only bid if you have the answer to this so neither of us waste our time, thank you!
