A WiFi digital image frame receives images to be displayed from a vendor's server via Internet and WiFi. But it shall receive images from a local server via WiFi instead. The device is a Somicon PX-8909-675, sold by PEARL GmbH in Germany, see [url removed, login to view],3398801 , identical to DF-825.WiFi. It is essentially an Android tablet booting into a customized surface program. The vendor offers Android and iOS apps to push images to his Internet server, which in turn pushes those images to the digital image frame. Searched for is someone who analyzes the tablet or its communication and replaces the vendor's server by another server address. It should be possible to push an image via WiFi to the digital image frame without using the vendor's service. The changes or actions need to be documented or at least explained, so that they can be repeated. Expected knowledge: Android, Linux, Internet protocols. Results may be open-sourced.
