I am looking for an animator to create a 10-minute web-series pilot. The desired animation style is 2D(abstract/stylized: See reference links below). I need someone/a team who can deliver a completed animation from the provided scripts and storyboards(i.e., animation, character design, coloring, key animation, in-betweens, after-effects, etc). The intended audience for the web-series is adults, so the animation should reflect that maturity and sophistication. I recognize that animation is hard and the offer is low but this is me giving everything I have so the ideal candidate will need to feel a strong connection to the story and concept and feel a deep desire to go on this journey with me trusting that this will turn into something worthwhile.
The Streets of Nottingham is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure story about a boy whose village is destroyed by warring gods: The girl he’s been in love with all his life dies and so he sets out on an epic adventure to find the gods who ruined his life, to make them fix their mess or die trying.
This is a story about the tragedy of faith. It’s about hope against hope. About going to places you know you will never reach, and yet going anyway, because you have to. It’s about dreams that cannot be attained - and the ways in which choosing to chase these dreams changes you: unmaking and remaking you. It's about becoming and unbecoming. Creation and destruction. It's about the effects of time in a world where time is undone to the point that past, present, and future collide in endless cycles. Like waves forever washing upon a cliff, forever eroding. It explores the fear of turning into the thing you loathe the most. The thing you fear the most. About the journey that would turn you into the monster that ruined your childhood. It explores the uncanny of looking your parents in the eye, your grandparents, and seeing yourself looking back. It’s about being lost: In space, in time, inside yourself. Forever searching… FOR YOURSELF.
