I came across an animation on facebook a while back now where it was about being grateful for what you have instead of always looking at the person that has more than you.
For the love of me i cant find the video anymore. but it was a guy at a bus stop looking at the guy on the bike and a think bubble saying oh i wish i could have a bike, the guy on the bike in the rain looking at the guy in the car and thinking same, guy in car loking at nicer car and all the way up to the guy in the really fancy car wishing for a plane!! anyway hope your getting the idea some bit.
The message im hoping to get a across is in my 7 year career in the industry and even more so since i opened atp fitness on a daily basis i come across a similar scenario but in regards body types.
I could have a woman 1 who is severely over weight training and looking at another client training, woman 2, who may be 3 stone lighter but still quite over weight and would say oh my god she looks great i would love to be able to look like that, and when i train woman 2 the following day she is admiring woman 3 who is slighty over weight and wishing she could look like her.
this honestly goes on so regularly its frighting. only recently a woman who most in our gym would say is in top shape asked me oh my god how often does that girl train i would love so much to be in that shape.
The message i would like to get across is that when you are admiring sombody elses body and wishing for theirs, dont forget how far you have come and just remember theirs somebody out there is wishing for yours. so be happy in yourself knowing you are trying your best and there is a good chance without you even knowing that you are somebody else motivation.
Hope some of this makes sense. in my head i'm picturing a gym setting with different types of body shapes training and creating the comparison.
Any ideas would be great, its an important message and in today's over the top pc world, is one that has to come across the right way.
if you could suggest something and a quote i would really appreciate it.
