Thank you for taking the time to consider my proposal. I have some experience in this niche because I worked as a certified nurses aid for a home health company, for hospice care, and at a nursing home. My father is 80 and has recently had a lower leg amputation so I am learning a lot about the items that will help the elderly with their daily activities.
Choosing the Right Shower Chair
In order to choose the right shower chair you will need to consider the type of shower or tub that will be used and the mobility limitations of the person that will be using the seat.
If you have a traditional tub that requires the person to lift their leg over the side and into the tub then you might want to consider a transfer bench. The transfer bench has legs that sit on the inside of the tub, and legs that are on the outside of the tub. This design allows the person to sit down on the bench and then lift their legs to put their feet inside the tub. These benches reduce the risks that the individual will fall while they are getting in or out of the tub.
If you have a shower then you might want to consider a shower chair. The shower chair sits completely inside the shower enclosure. The person steps into the shower and then they sit on the seat. There are actually several different shower chair styles to choose from.
