We are evaluating a curriculum on Indigenous cultural competency for health professionals students. We require IRB approval to conduct the evaluation. The specific research study goals, purpose, objective and research questions are as follows: The goal is to contribute to eliminating health disparities through curriculum interventions of health professional students. The purpose is to contribute to comprehensive program evaluation of the curriculum intervention. The objective is to determine the impact the curriculum intervention has on the health professional students. The methodology includes quantitative and qualitative approaches to fully address the study objective. The quantitative approach includes the administration and collection of responses to a developed and tested Student Survey on knowledge and attitudes. The qualitative approach includes the sequential invitation and conduction of semi-structured interviews with student participants.
Thus, the deliverable will be a fully edited IRB application that is methodologically sound, coherent and consistent throughout.
The selected candidate will be well versed in the IRB application process and able to work well under time constraints.
