This is an assignment I have for my writing class, where I need to compare the film, "Star Wars: A new hope" to the comic book, "Watchmen".
The essay topic is:
While many of our course texts include villainous characters, these villains differ a great deal, ranging from the obviously evil to the more morally complex. Thus, to define who (or what) is the villain of a text can be challenging. While the color of the characters’ clothing often clearly shows their moral alignment, there are also other visual signs that show the good or evil stance of the character. How do the visual representations of the villains in Watchmen and Star Wars other than clothing color show the range of villain types, and/or play into the ambiguity surrounding the good/evil and hero/villain dichotomy?
I already have the points chosen and I am half way done my 1500 word essay.
