I run a music school and want to give parents of current or prospective students a freebie, I will be turning this article into a PDF. You'll be able to look all of these games up, read descriptions, and hopefully come up with compelling reasons for parents to try them out for their children! This will probably be easier for someone who has a bit of musical training so you understand some of the terminology. I've never hired someone to write an article for me so please let me know if you need more info!
Title: The Piano Student's Guide to Beginner Piano Apps
The 5 apps I'm recommending:
1. Piano Maestro
Download the free version of Piano Maestro so your child can get a taste of just how fun it is to play the piano! They can use this app without any prior piano experience.
2. Rhythm Swing
This is another fun game for students who haven't started music lessons yet but who are showing musical inclinations. This game will help them feel and understand rhythm in a fun way.
3. Flashnote Derby
This one is great because you can select the notes you want to drill, even if you just want to drill 2-3 notes for a child who's just started learning to read music. Kids are ready for this one after just a few weeks of lessons.
4. Note Rush
Another great flashcard game for students who have been taking lessons for a month or more, this game is great because you actually play the note that's being shown on the piano, rather than naming it. This provides real life experience in a fun way.
5. Staff Wars
As its name suggests, this game has a Star Wars feel and is great for kids who have been taking lessons for about 3 months and up.
