we have an ASP application which exclusively runs in internet explorer. We'd like that to be changed so that everyone (also Chrome & Firefox) can easily run it. The program itself is a simple psychological test in which you have to remember letters and solve math equations.
If you have sufficient understanding of the program and manage to do so we'd love to have an additional project assigned to you to create a cleaner output file.
The Program is attached so you may have a look. If you do, here some instructions:
1. Download the attached file into your server's root folder (wherever you are hosting programs that are accessible on the web)
2. Unzip the file in the root directory
3. Go into your server services and activate the programs. Hopefully your server administrator will know how to do this because it is different depending on the server module you use. We use IIS so I am only familiar with the procedure in that. In IIS, navigate to the root folder where the files are stored. Find one of the folders and then right click on it. Go to properties and under the directory tab you should see a button that says "Create". Click that button and the program should be functional. Repeat for all programs.
4. You should run each program once with a pilot id number to create the folders. The programs will create the output folders themselves in the C: drive on the server. If this is not the correct drive please let me know and I can correct that. Once the folders have been created you'll find the output in C:/WM/CountSpan (ReadSpan, OperSpan respectively)/id number. For the Ravens the outputs will appear in C:/Ravens/id number. This is really just a check to make sure the folders are created properly.
The web addresses will start with your server's mask (e.g., [url removed, login to view]) followed by:
Operation Span: /OperSpan/[url removed, login to view]
Optional: (if above doesn't work) you may need [url removed, login to view]
