Dear Freelancers
We require an internet-based image editor for the most common image file formats. This is a part of a larger web 2.0 system. The rest of the system is developed in .Net2, however we are flexible as we see the image editor being a specialist add-on to the rest of the system. Therefore a solution in Java or Flash would be quite adequate.
The image editor will open on its own web page. It will be simple to use as it is intended for general audience, and not experts.
The current wish-list includes the following, and we have in mind further features.
(i) cropping, resizing, rotating, flipping, regions selection, brightness/contrast,
(ii) gamma, R/G/B correction and grayscaling, color inversion etc, ability to overlay fancy text over an image,
(iii) creating transparent images (for ex. gif images),
(iv) zoom in/zoom out/ fit to window options,
(v) creating different types of image borders, frames
(vi) noise reduction and generation,
(vii) undo capability,
(viii) multi-image functions – blending, overlaying, logical functions, arithmetic functions,
(ix) drawing tools, spray tool, free hand and line/rectangle/oval drawing with customised width, color, line style, fill and cap style . Eraser with chooseable size and also with ability to 'erase to original image'.
(x) multiple page image printing facility with Print Preview
As our wish list is quite long and we require this image editor as soon as possible, we suggest it be developed in stages:
STAGE 1: Basic functionality as per (i) to (v) above
STAGE 2: Further functions as per (vi) to (x)
STAGE 3: Possible further extensions: filtering, gradients, exif support, brushes, etc.
We require exclusive rights to the source code. The solution should not utilize any proprietary libraries other than as supplied in Microsoft development environment. The final product should work in most common browsers, with priority given to Internet Explorer.
Applicants need to demonstrate their ability to implement a project of this nature by demonstrating past work of relevant nature. Please include in your bid the number of hours, total expected cost and the approximate time for delivery. We expect payment to be made on completion of each stage with the first stage to be completed as soon as possible.
