We interview soldiers and families about their experiences with coming home from war. Most interviews are phone interviews. Some are in-person.
The successful bidder will edit the interviews into stories with chapters. The typical interview lasts an hour and must be edited into about 5 chapters. You will also produce a podcast version that is a compilation of the chapters, except that the podcast must not exceed 25 minutes. (You may need to drop some chapters to get to that length.)
You will have a transcript to work from. You will also have to edit the transcript to conform with the edited piece.
You will also produce a 25 second clip that is typical of the story.
You can hear lots of examples of such edited stories at notalone.com.
The emphasis is on creating a finished piece that has great storytelling quality,
We prefer to work with people who have direct knowledge of being in the military or being in a military family.
