At this early planning and design stage, I want to be certain the house will satisfy flood-resistance requirements before the architectural layout is locked in. Your task is to analyse the proposed structure for flood loads, recommend compliant foundation and framing solutions, and translate those recommendations into drawings that my local permitting office will accept. Familiarity with FEMA guidelines, ASCE 24/7 and any state or county amendments is essential; I’m counting on your expertise to keep the project both safe and straightforward to approve.
