We have our online assessment application hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Application Features -
Thousands of candidates sit from their home/office and appear for an online examination. These candidates' webcam is active during the test and their live video is streamed to the proctors/invigilator/examiner i.e.- these candidates are watched over by proctor/invigilator/examiner(also sitting at remote locations). So considering 20,000 candidates appearing for the test at a point and these candidates are watched over by 500 proctors, which means every proctor is monitoring 40 candidates at a point.
These proctors and candidates can also chat with each other through the entire duration of the test.
The candidates can also click a photo from their mobile and upload it in the examination.
When a load of such high magnitude comes, the application/infra is overloaded and the entire system slows down and struggles to keep up.
1. We need someone to look at our entire system and find the blocker and work with our team to fix the current issue of scaling.
2. We need to make this application scalable by implementing AKS.
We need experts on Microsoft Azure Scalability who can work on infra scalability. Our Azure infra is Linux based where files open on a scale of 1-10 million which slows down the infra. We need someone who can consult on how to scale a file-based system.
