Freebsd 7.0. VMware Workstation 8.0.5. Add virtual drive instructions needed.

Closed

Hello,

I am not a Freebsd 7.0 expert so your help will be really appreciated.

Scenario:

Feebsd 7.0 installed on virtual VMware Workstation 8.0.5 machine. Free hard disk space on “/dev/da0s1a” became an issue. Let’s say I have “/tmp/largedir” directory where “largedir” directory I want to move to virtual VMware hard drive. I need to make sure after it is moved, that freebsd can access this drive/directory and Windows OSs can access this virtual drive too via samba share. So samba needs to be configured as well.

Here is what I need:

1. Step by step instructions with screenshots and comments for each step for me to learn and set it up.

2. Steps, comments and screenshots are required for VMware, FreeBsd including samba share setup.

Thank you for your time!
