For the final project, you need to develop Revit models including:
Mechanical Duct-work (only for the Basement)
of the Wunsch Hall Building located at 309 Bridge Street based on the attached PDF, DWG files and your field observations and investigations. Please be informed that the attached files are partial and do not include all drawings.
A summary of suggested steps to do the final project:
Print the PDF single sided (11”x17”)
Go over the project and familiarize yourself with the project. You may go and see the building and take some photos. Also, you can use online resources like Google, Bing or other search engines. The building Elevations are not included and you need to build the model based on your investigations.
Be strategic and think about your approach.
Open a Revit Architectural Template file and define your levels as below:
First Floor: +11’-0”
Second Floor: +25”-0”
Link/ Import the cleaned cad files and model all Structural/ Architectural elements. You need to model (insert) the furniture (table and chairs,) bathroom fixtures, reflected ceilings and lights (only L38 lights) in this model.
Do your calculation for stairs and model stairs. (It’s okay if your stairs are not consistent with what show on the drawings, but they must be constructible.)
Open a Revit System Template file (Link the Architectural/ Structural model (Internal Origin to Internal Origin)) and model duct works and diffusers for the basement level. Mechanical equipment and devices like fans, etc. are optional. (Use CAD files and the PDF file)
Create sheets in the Architectural/ Structural model. The sheets must show:
Annotated plans, two perpendicular sections and the main elevation
Schedules of doors and windows
One rendered 3D view of the building
More layouts are optional
Revit files: Architecture/Structure and Mechanical
A PDF binder of your drawing sheets, the schedule, and the 3D view. Sheets must have an NYU logo in the title block.
