VNC Proxy for Solaris

Hi, we need a VNC proxy for Solaris. Here is the open source:

What we need is to add some authentication, meaning, we need to improve this application with a TCP server socket to pass commands to the VNC Proxy

- add right - this message will be very simple on a TCP socket, in a certain format, and will contain a 32 bit key. Every time someone connects to the VNC proxy server, the first message in the VNC protocol will include this key - 4 bytes, the proxy will allow only the authenticated users (passing this key) to broadcast, or view a live desktop session - only one broadcasting point - probable an additional param passed somehow to make a difference, and the rest of the connections with this key will be clients or rejected (if broadcasting requests)

- revoke right - this message will be very simple on a TCP socket, in a certain format, and will contain a 32 bit key. When the VNC Proxy will receive this key, it will remove the key from the allowed keys and will close all the clientss and the broadcaster's connections, if they exist.

This is the only thing we need, the solution needs to be done very fast as is not that complicated, and should not affect the performances of the VNC Reflextor. Also it needs to run on Solaris, so please install a Solaris and compile the project there first, before bidding. Thank you and good luck.

You know... I beleive you could use Perl sockets and the VNC log file to do this. It should be pretty simple. Very similar to what I've seen done with Apache web proxies. Let me know if you'd like me to work on this fo More
