Purpose of Project:
To have a fully working navigation system for the online MMORPG game World of warcraft. The navigation system should make use of the world of warcraft clients map data. This is found in adt and wmo files inside the mpq files that comes with the world of warcraft client.
What I want Delivered:
- A dll file i can access from c#, or a project done in c#.
- DLL with atleast GeneratePath(startx, starty, startz, endx, endy, endz, ref pathlist)
- should return an array of points we must travel through to get from A -> B (start -> end)
- The dll should make use of some kind of pathfinding algorithm like A* or Dijkstra's algorithm.
- Source code
If you create mapfiles like the ones generated with the source code, I need a secondary application for extracting/creating those maps, for use when the world of warcraft client itself is updated.I
I have some source code for you to start out with, but if you would rather start from scratch, you're more than welcome.
Please notice, that this project is not only path finding algorithm implementation. You are required to write the software to extract/create the data used for the pathfinding aswell. As stated above, I have some source code availible that you can start on.
