I'm doing research on using decision diagrams to calculate network reliability. I have a bunch of programs that I need to consolidate and figured it might be easier if I hired someone to do up one clean one. I'm hoping to speed up my completion date and start earning money again.
Your coding will be credited in my thesis and any papers I write using this code.
The program should be in C or C++ (I'll consider others if compelling arguments are made). It reads an input file (text format, have examples) containing the specification for a network. It then builds a decision diagram using one of my algorithm (depending on the requirements) and produces exact numerical answer(s). I have the algorithms written up in pseudo-code, and have a bunch of C++ code implementing some of them, if you want to look at that. I can provide more details if required.
The main goals are to be true to the algorithms, produce accurate results (I have test files with known results for comparison) and to run very quickly. The code needs to be neat enough that I can read it, since I may need to make modifications in future. Comments are good but not necessary. I will want all rights to the code although I don't mind any part being re-used/shared. There are many parts of the implementation that will be up to you (for example sorted lists vs hashing).
The project should be done as soon as possible. Feb 20 completion would be preferred. Earlier completion will be welcomed.

Hello! My strong mathematical background, 15+ years C/C++ experience, including algorithmic, statistical, real-time development make me able to complete your work quickly and with the high quality. Regards, Alexey
I would love to work on this, as I have 3 years of C/C++/Open source experience, and already done quite a lot of work like yours at, a research project "Game Engine". You can test me or interview me anytime.
