VME Programming

I am working on Double Frequency Interferometer .Its a displacement measurement device.

I build a VME chassis for Hardware and Sofrware interface which is require for my double frequency interferometry experiment.

I am using NI VME- MXI2 PCI kit (NI VME-PCI8012 (777244-03) PCI to VME bridge)for hardware and software interface.

I already Installed the drivers which I require for the NI board in my PC.

I am using zygo VME board (ZMI 2401 board) . I want to observe the output from this VME board.

Address Space : It is having two address space A16 Address space and A24 Address Space

I am using A 24 address space (Memory Space )

Address range ( A24 ) = 0x000400 - 0x100000 ( Hexadecimal Address for the board)

The base address I have set to 0x000400

Its a register based VME slave card. The circuitary converts the interference signal from interferometers to position and velocity data.

Measurement board is having 3 data transfer option.

Measurement data including position,velocity and time data and system status information. The measurement board has on board fiber optic detector.

I want a program which will detect this board and read and write data to this board.

I am attaching the document (PCI-VME Chassis) and manual for the measurement board ZMI 2401 Where the command directory for this board and how to access the register is given in this manual which will help to write a program for this board.
