I'm looking to take an old 8-bit game and alter it's foes & certain enemies and replace the main character, adding several sprite types of his. Some moderate animation will be required. Music files would also be dropboxed and need to be added to the levels.
The goal is to produce an .nes file via rom and 6502, C++/ C#/ Perl (layers) or other coding language(s) will be needed.
Imported levels will need to be switched around sequentially. I also want to replace many items on the imported game, as well as add some entities such as coins to many of the levels. If you know how to add .bmp images to backgrounds it should be no problem.
I will not pay any advanced fees. My preference will be to pay in 4 increments. That is, after receiving 2 full worlds in an .nes file that I have tested and approved, payment will be sent. After World 7 is completed, and the entire game is approved, the final payment would be made.
The game will have 20 total levels, plus the final boss area. Of the total, 16/20 levels will be imported from the old NES game. The other 4 will need to be drawn up along with my instructions. There will also be a mini-game (to earn treasures); as well as 2 word scrollers to be implemented. I would also like a brief introduction (basically a weather effect with a sound byte added followed by a fading out .bmp), prior to the start screen.
I'm not going to sell this game to anyone, in fact, I want to establish a clause to not even have it shared publically. However, if you as the programmer are interested, you may keep a copy of the rom/ .nes file for yourself to play. Please let me know if you or someone you know may be the right choice to work on this fun & creative project.
