I am a university lecturer in games programming/development, and currently working on a research project based on procedural modelling of 3D alien creatures.
The proposed project aims to generate plausible and diverse 3D alien creatures along with demonstrating temporal growth of different anatomical features of the alien creature, consequently reducing the duration spent in researching and evaluating such creatures, while also serving as a reference tool for the artists.
The project requires the development of a software application showing 3D models read using OBJ or FBX file format, and displayed in a 3D environment. With each 3D model loaded, the user should be able to morph the models to generate new shapes depicting new abnormal features.
The project needs a software application to be developed including real-time 3D graphics with a GUI. The project is to be developed in C++ and OpenGL.
