Convert Fortran 77 routines (approximately 1500 lines + comments) to a VB.NET or C# program. The program trials different methods of solving flow networks with linear algebra.
This was part of a research project in 1990. We wish to do further work on it using .NET in Visual Studio, but need a coder to do the tedious but important job of converting the code first.
Some effort should be made to modernize routines into modern flowing code - eg eliminating where possible GOTO branching, spaghetti code, handling arrays and objects efficiently etc. Restructuring, logic modifications, reorganizing, relabeling of variables, etc is permitted and encouraged if it will make the code and logic easier to follow.
Routines are for research and testing and are not required to be of commercial release quality.
Examples of typical output can be provided for testing purposes.
Fortran output formats not required to be in exact format - output can be parsed to a CSV or text tab separated file or held in an array.
